Samsung Flagship Phone Tutorials
Project Summary
From 2017 to 2020 I led the development of tutorial content for 7 Samsung flagship phones and a breadth of apps and accessories. In this time, we created more than 120 short videos receiving more than 4MM organic views on YouTube alone. With each device we continued to demonstrate the value of the tutorial content earning a greater client investment each time around. Over time, our approach evolved and the results followed.
2019-2020: Galaxy Note10, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Ecosystem
Summary: In partnership with YouTube, we took a step back to evaluate how closely our videos really met YouTube channel best practices. Turns out, we had some work to do. We extended average length, included multiple products, and gave our script a new sense of personality and relaxation. Additionally, we upped the quality of our cross-promotion as well.
Results: Compared to the previous how-to series (Phase 2), this new round achieved:
100% increase in CTR
197% increase in Impressions
525% increase in Watch Time (hours)
506% increase in Likes
309% increase in Comments
Reaction: Consumer response was overwhelmingly positive across the series. Viewers praised the topics chosen, engaging voiceover and overall usefulness. Even those who already knew these tips, and some who didn’t even own the devices covered, shared their enthusiasm for the series.
